After visiting Africa in 2007 Australian National Annabelle Chauncy got the desire to make a difference on the continent.
Fast forward ten years and the NGO she co-founded the School For Life Foundation is now providing education services to over 1000 children, and the local community is benefiting in a variety of ways.
It hasn’t all been plain sailing, as Annabelle shares the NGO landscape is littered with more questions than perhaps answers.
In this episode, we talk in-depth about the reasons why an Australian flies twenty-six hours to help people on the other side of the world when there are plenty of social issues in her own country.
We look at how her charity model plans to be sustainable and what are the challenges, some you might not expect in running an NGO on the other side of the world.
This candid discussion brings out the passion Annabelle has to make a difference in her lifetime.
